Product Engineer

Summary
This position is responsible for the design of screw thread gages from industry standards or customer specifications. Working with factory personnel, the product engineer is responsible for the creation of engineering prints, manufacturing routers and selection of material to successfully produce thread gages.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Determine by calculation, use of software, use of industry standards or any combination, all necessary product design values for thread gages
- Create product engineering specification cards using thread gage values
- Create manufacturing routers for step by step manufacturing operations
- Ensure production, materials, methods and personnel are capable of the manufacturing of the gage
- Work with customers on special gage designs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have strong general math and geometry skills
- Proficient with EXCEL and WORD, and ability to learn other computer programs
- Knowledge of metal removal and other manufacturing operations
- Knowledge of quality techniques
Education & Experience
- Degree in product design, quality, and/or manufacturing engineering
- Minimum 2 year degree or equivalent

- Office, some factory
